Setting shutter speed when using ND filter

It's all about stops.

What shutter speed should I use when I'm using an ND filter? Let's say I'm using apature priority set  f/16, iso 100 with no filter. Assume the the camera provides a shutter speed of 1/400s. What shutter speed should I use when I screw on my 10 stop ND filter?

*** I added
Change your camera to Manual. Set your apature and iso to the same you used for for your previous shot   (f/16 iso 100 shutter speed 1/400s) Screw on your 10 stop ND filter.

Now lower your shutter speed 10 stops.
*** End add

On my camera 3 clicks on my thumb wheel = 1 stop. So I figure 30 clicks = 10 stops and this should provide a good first approximate for exposure

culling, Auto iso, ...

Today I was having conversation with a friend about culling his 300+ photos from a shoot. I passed this link to him and thought this could help others

Our discussion then morphed into his use of Auto Mode in varring light. He had adjusted do his desired apature and shutter speed for his action shots. He told me many off his shots was under exposed. I suggested he use auto iso so click the link.

Manual Mode

One of the topics covered in our photo group was exposure compensation.
I seldom use it anymore. Why?
I had previously used aperture priority then I read about auto iso. So I started using that with base iso 100 Max 1600 and minimum shutter of 320, sometimes if change the minimum speed.
About a month ago I put my mode to M, manual, using auto iso with the base iso set to 100 and a maximum of 1600
I'm happy with that. Exposure compensation, usually shutter speed. Kinda like aperture priority.

About

You need to start somewhere. So here it is. I enjoy photography, not just taking photos but the technology involved in creating a good photo. Since I am an amateur at most I consider myself good. I don't precipitate in contests or much formal education.

I use Lightroom Classic and Photoshop in my post processing. My objective is take a photo with the correct exposure and composition. Use postprocessing to refine the photo. Power, signs,  and similar will be removed when time and skill allow.

I use an Olympus OM-D E-M5 iii. Previously I used Nikon D5500 camera with a 18-200 mm lens. Flash occasionally and UV, circular polarizer, and ND filter as appropriate.
